The Lord is writing Our Story

“I’ve been smitten with Ashley since we were thirteen. Every day I find a new reason to fall in love with her all over again.”

— Christian

“I always knew he was the one. It feels like we were just teenagers dreaming of this day, and now it’s finally here!”

— Ashley

From the moment they met at just 13 years old, Christian and Ashley embarked on a beautiful journey that would intertwine their lives in ways they could never have imagined. Their friendship blossomed through a mutual friend, transforming from innocent chats into a tender connection that transcended distance. Even though they navigated the challenges of different schools, churches, and activities, the advent of FaceTime and social media became their lifelines, allowing their bond to grow stronger with each passing year.

As they celebrated milestones—school dances, recitals, and graduations—they faced the next chapter of their lives with courage, heading off to college in different cities: Christian to San Francisco and Ashley to Nashville. What might have felt like a daunting separation only deepened their love, proving that true connection endures the hardship of distance.

In 2018, they were reunited when Christian's family moved to Nashville, creating a sanctuary of shared experiences and memories. But when the pandemic struck, Ashley returned to her roots in Houston, and once again, their love withstood the test of distance, adapting and thriving despite the challenges.

Now, as they carve out their careers in the healthcare field, their journey has led them to a moment they will cherish forever. On September 11, 2025, Christian orchestrated a magical proposal filled with love and surprises, culminating in a heartfelt kneel and the sweetest "yes" from Ashley.

On April 24, 2026, surrounded by family and friends, they will take their vows and officially Become the Burgs.

Join us in celebrating a love story that started with friendship and has blossomed into a lifelong commitment, reminding us all that true love is worth every moment of waiting.

Our Lot has fallen in pleasant places!

We are grateful that the Lord has preserved our love for each other. We look forward to celebrating with you all in Houston!
